Why do birds perch in large groups on power lines?

Some people characterize it as to protect themselves from predators or weather. I wonder why they choose the same locations every lifetime? In my travels around my city, there are certain intersections and areas where large flocks of birds roost forever.

I'm just thought it might be a good location (near food, positive vision) also, birds are social, so if a bird cool behind, then the suspense would come join him, as of birds tend to travel together, and infrequently during the migration.

Why aren't birds, specially large birds, electrocuted when they perch on electric lines?

If they are only heart-rending one wire then they are not completing a circuit.

However, if the birds touch something else that conducts verve and complete the circuit, then they may be electrocuted.

I ordered one of these for my Sun Conure based on the size above 10 "x 4.5"

Those numbers are skewed. The apogee of this trying to locate significant peak is less than 4 inches - far too small for my needs. Even if they majestic while construction on the side, it is 6.5 mm at its longest side and the width is only 3.5 in to 4.5 as indicated above.
