Side effects of hills prescription diet food for dogs?

Are there any known side effects, with hills subsistence diet prescription dog.
My spaniel was put on this from our vet, because it came in what looks like spots tank.

I'm with Bobby, it is feasible that your dog has an allergy to any ingredient in the new regime. This type of situation is not because the food is "bad for dogs", but rather that the body one has an abnormal reaction to something.
