How long does your dog have to be off heartworm pills to risk getting heartworms?

Because I ordered my pills online dogs and it takes about a week to reach them. She will be off for maybe 2 weeks, but she was given her pills regularly until now. Should I be concerened? I am afraid because my dog died of heart worms as a child.

Heartworm pills online retro-actively ... So they work BACK to kill larvae uninitiated, the dog has been infected over the last 30 days or more. it is not aligned to come, killing which will be in the dog's system, everything is already there.

What months are you suppose to give heartworm pills to dogs?

I cogitation it was either May or March, but cannot remember. I know that some people give their dogs heartworm pills year volley, but I only give it to them 6 months a year. Should I start now?

If you persist in the south...12 mos. a year.

in the north, you can start in may and end in DEC.

regardless I would give it year here.
