I am placing a 180 gallon tank of cichlids. I was wondering how you felt ColorMax Coralife bulbs.
Privately, I'm not a big fan of Coralife, I used their products for one year (standard sensitivity fluorescent bulb) in a planted aquarium and saw no benefits. It was not bright enough and I was not impressed by the color shown on my show guppies.

I if you find a bulb 4100K to 5500K then it will be safe even to the general satisfaction with 10.000 K bulbs you already have.
