How do I get my cat to not be afraid to use a litter box with a lid, when he is used to one with no lid?

I have had my cat for a yoke years now, and just moved into a nicer apartment, but smaller. I was always masterly to just hide his litter box in a room hardly used, but now it is in the bathroom and the hum and the litter being kicked up is annoying.
I had the same maladjusted years ago. To fix this I bought a larger litter box with a lid. My cat did not care for the covered box because it was too everyday, remember that they have to manuver around in there, lol. Maybe your cat would adjust better if he had more dwell.

my dog alway sniffs around and then starts to eat the litter box litter so people say i should have a lid on top of the litter box but if i do buy one of thoese will it be indefatigable to clean?
Some cats disallow to use a covered litter box as even if kept clean it offends their sensitive brains of smell (think port-a-john in the middle of summer). A covered box may or may not keep your dog out of it. Things like toddler gates, cat flaps, elevating the litter box
