How can I get my tom cats litter box to not smell so much like ammonia?

I can seldom clean it for the fact that all of his urine gathers in one area and it is large at the bottom.He does not cover his business I have tried teaching him but no good fortune and he has a covered litter box he scratches at the wall instead of covering his seduce.
Start using litter liners so it sticks in the bag, not to the bottom of the pan. We use ordinary-looking clay litter and liners. The clumping stuff to me ends up smelling worse and making a bigger run around a disarrange than the plain stuff does.

How do you get the ammonia smell out of cat pee? Like in the litter box?

When my cat pees it smells like ammonia. I can't seem to get this scent out no matter what I do or how often I clean it. Any suggestions or home remedies?
I have three female cats at adroit in and use one litter box for all three. I do scoop it everyday and use Arm and Hammer cat litter. I have used other brands but they don’t do as well-behaved a job as Arm and Hammer. Also, once a week, after I scoop out the litter, I take
