Will my 8 week old adopted kittens pee on my bath mat/rug instead of litter box?

I interpret somewhere that some cats like to pee in a separate place from doing poop. The litter box will be in the bathroom, along with 2 bath mats. Also will the cold tile deck deter them from going to the box when the bath mats/rug is closer?

If the kitten was born and raised fa, they may have a tendency to want to maintain those outside habits lining your home. You may find that they might try and use your plants as a litter box.

Please intimate to on the best sort of mat/tray to use to trap kitty litter from exiting feet. Please name associated with products that work well. And if there's something to avoid, name it. Thanks...

I have tried about 5 original mats. avoid the cat head shaped thing thats waxy and has "nubs" its useless and too small. Rate has been the key, the bigger it is the more they have to walk on it. The outdoor type mats didn't settle a difference. I am using at the moment
