How can train my cat to ask outside to use the bathroom vs. litter box?
Dec 25, 2009 by Carol | Posted in Cats
My cat will shell out hours outside. Once he comes inside he goes when to the litterbox. How can I train him to prefer to go outside vs. inside?
here's a few ideas.
if you have a unequivocal spot outside where you want the cat to go to the bathroom outside, then try dumping a pan of it's own occupied litter in that area, that way your cat's scent is already there.

Why does this cat keep going to the bathroom outside litter box?
Nov 18, 2009 by Michele | Posted in Cats
My friends has two cats. One of them keep successful #2 right outside litter box. She will go #1 in the box. She only does it when the P is gone. She cleans the litter box twice a day and she has two. She has tried changing the litter also. any keep from would be great! thanks
In litterbox avoidance issues, normally, they will do both front, not just one...more so the avoiding one right near. That tells you they de facto want to use it.
I suspect one cat is harassing the other when they try "go" - mayhap they hear the cat scratching
