Litter Box 5 cats - Litter Boxes

I have 4 cats, 5 litter boxes. 1 poops on the floor next to the box. How can I get him to stop?

2 cats are 1-1/2 years, 2 cats are 10 months old. All 4 get allong very well. But, one of the younger ones keeps pooping on the conquer next to the litter box. I clean it out every morning and he still poops on the floor no matter if the box is cleaned or full.

Some cats are by a hair's breadth strange that way. I had a cat growing up that would do that right outside my parent's bedroom door if he didn't get fed his breakfast on together! Your cat is trying to communicate something to you that he doesn't like.

i have 40 cats and 5 litter boxes all cats are spayed and neutered but they smell the box up?

You need more catboxes, and use scoopable litter and undefiled the litter boxes several times a day. it removes the urine as a chunk of clay to be thrown away. Simply scooping regular litter leaves the urine and smell in the box and rooms.
